Week 16 NFL Recap and Tuesday Night CBB

We're starting to wrap up what is likely the end of our NFL Season and a successful one.  We're not likely to bet much in Week 17 with teams having wrapped up spots and the like, so we'll be treading lightly.  In Week 16 we went 10-5-1, and picked up 9 units.  For the year we're now 102-85, for +21.4 units and a 5.59% return.

Week 3 CBB Recap, MNF and Guest Blog

We had a fairly solid CBB week.  We were 45-34 and picked up 9.33 units.  For the year we're now 112-89 and up 22.2 units for 5.73% return.  Some of you may have noticed we tend to make some second half wagers. Our good friends at Beyond The Bets (and @BeyondTheBets on Twitter) were nice enough to let us chime in with a guest blog which you can find here.  It describes our approach of how we start to handicap CBB second halves, and we hope you'll find it useful.  We'll post the same blog here in the coming days.

Had we just avoided totals and second half bets in the NFL over the weekend we may have had an epic one.  However it still was a successful one.  We went 9-7-1 and picked up 4.4 units.  On the year we're now 92-80 up 12.4units, for a 3.55% return.

Tuesday December 13th CBB and NFL Recap

We're finally recapping the last two weeks in the NFL (Weeks 13 and 14).  We went 14-13 and lost 1.9 units.  We were saved by a nice parlay this last Thursday night and some second half wagering.  For the year we're now 83-73, up 8.01 units for a 2.53% return.

CFB Regular Season Wrap-up and CBB

It appears we should have sat out the last week of college football.  For the week we were 4-7, giving back 5.2 units.  All in all though despite some setbacks with ugly variance, we'll call this season a success.  We picked winners at 54.0% clip over almost 300 positions, and finished the season up 20.55 units for a 3.5% return.  We certainly hope you were along for more of the winners than the losers and thank you for stopping by all season.

Now, we're moving our focus to what we think (and hope to prove to you) is our best sport to handicap, college basketball.  We've been releasing plays here and there since Thanksgiving, but now have enough data to plug into our models (with our first model play below).   We're off to a big of a rocky start, but really think our model will be driving value going forward.  As of now we're 10-9, down 1.2 units for a -4.55% return.
